The Magic of Intuition Is Not Magic

2017-03-20T15:16:30+00:00

Have you ever wondered how it is that when you think of your friend on the other side of the world, seconds later they call or text? Or how a mother can sense her child is in distress when the child is at another location? When something like this occurs, there are three possibilities at play, the first being intuition. According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, intuition is defined as, “The power or faculty of attaining direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference.” Another way to think of it is that this direct knowledge is essentially a [...]

Yoga: Good For the Body and the Brain

2017-03-03T16:59:14+00:00

It’s commonly known that yoga is good for your body. Combining postures, breathing, and meditation, it only takes a few sessions to see how quickly it can tighten muscles, increase flexibility, and reduce stress. But what effects does yoga have on the brain? New research by Chantal Villemure and Catherine Bushnell of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland, suggest that it actually helps grow parts of your brain. To conduct the study, Villemure used MRI (magnetic resonance imagining) scans to compare people who regularly practiced yoga with control subjects. On average, the yogis involved in [...]

What does the spike in the Schumann resonance mean?

2017-03-08T22:05:02+00:00

In 1952, German physicist and professor W.O. Schumann hypothesized there were measurable electromagnetic waves in the atmosphere that existed in the cavity (or space) between the surface of the earth and the ionosphere. According to NASA, the ionosphere is an abundant layer of electrons, ionized atoms, and molecules that stretches from approximately 30 miles above the surface of the earth to the edge of space, at about 600 miles. This dynamic region grows and shrinks (and further divides into sub-regions) based on solar conditions and is a critical link in the chain of Sun-Earth interactions. It’s this “celestial power station” [...]

United in Blooms of Consciousness

2017-02-03T22:32:05+00:00

When you stare into a beautiful, expressive flower, it is very easy to understand how it is connected to all of nature. Originating in the unseen beneath the earth’s surface, the flower begins as the possibility of a seed. When environmental conditions such as water, temperature, oxygen, soil, and photosynthesis conspire, these conditions enable the seed to become a sprout. The sprout then grows into a bloom, which is the full expression of the flower as matter. It is nothing short of a miracle that a simple seed stored with so much potential ultimately becomes an expression of something so [...]

Reflections on last Sunday’s Project Coherence

2017-02-06T19:03:34+00:00

On Sunday, January, 15th, from Lake Garda, Italy, we completed our third global meditation called Project Coherence. As we now know, there have been many studies on peace gatherings, resulting in the reduction of crime, violence, poverty, war, struggle, and strife, while at the same time increasing economic development. Participants from all over the world joined us in Project Coherence under the belief that consciousness has an effect on matter and the world—that we are more than just matter, bodies, and particles. Shortly after the meditation, I received a note from one of our students that I thought was a [...]

From Victim to Victor: Becoming the Initiate of Your Life

2017-02-06T19:03:34+00:00

“For those people pursuing a goal, life should be treated as a lab.” Will Gompertz, Think Like an Artist In the mid-to-late 19th century, Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, and many of the Impressionist painters of the day faced harsh opposition from the traditional art community in France. This did not stop them, however, from holding onto a vision and a set of beliefs that were independent of what was conventionally acceptable for the day. They did not wait for an endorsement, a degree, or a professional qualification to decide that color was as important of a subject matter as [...]

‘Tis the Season to Emulate the Divine

2016-12-23T18:55:57+00:00

Whether you think of it as an entity, an energy, the unified field in quantum physics, or mother nature, the divine intelligence that governs all of this three-dimensional reality into order embodies unity and oneness. At all times this energy of wholeness and love is both within us and all around us, but we only become aware of it when we rest our attention on it. With the holidays upon us, it’s a perfect time to emulate the divine, because as we emulate it, we become more like it. If we look at mother nature, as an example, in its [...]

Remember To Thank Your Future Self This Holiday Season

2016-12-09T20:33:26+00:00

We are fast approaching what for many people is not only the busiest time of year, but also the most stressful. There’s shopping to be done, deadlines to be met, friends and family obligations to be fulfilled, and so on. As tension and anxiety runs high, so too do the hormones that make stress chemicals. With all this added stress, it’s easy to lose focus on our goals and meditation practice. You probably think you know what I’m going to say next—now is the best time to turn off the outward stimulation and go deeper within. While yes, I am [...]

The Power of Gratitude

2017-02-06T19:03:35+00:00

In October of 1621, what is commonly referred to as the first “Thanksgiving” was celebrated as a way for the pilgrims to give thanks for their first harvest in the New World. Little did the 53 pilgrims and 90 Native Americans present know that in the very act of gratitude, by giving thanks for the bounty they had harvested and the friendships they created, they were boosting their immune system. How do we know this? Last winter at our Advanced Workshop in Tacoma Washington, we performed a study on gratitude whereby we took 120 people and measured their cortisol and [...]

How To Become That Which We Are Seeking

2017-02-06T19:03:35+00:00

“Genius is a crisis that joins the buried self, for certain moments, to our daily mind.” William Butler Yeats The 13th Century mystic Saint Francis of Assisi claimed we are that which we are seeking. For the last two weeks, at two back-to-back Advanced Workshop in Cancun, Mexico, I witnessed more than a thousand of our genius students do exactly that—they became their future. Do you ever wonder why I always call our students geniuses? Because in the original sense of the word, genius means attendant spirit—being in the care of something unseen but near. In this case, that unseen [...]
