Together we raised over $18,000 for people in need.
Rose Caiola of “Rewire Me” sits on a pile of goodies that were delivered to the “Women in Need” Shelter in New York City.
Karin Sokel delivers to The Lighthouse in Annapolis, MD. She writes “The Lighthouse is not only a community shelter, but a homeless prevention support center, offering a powerful bridge from homelessness to independence. Staff and volunteers (pictured with me) were there to greet us and happily help John and me unload Encephalon’s 350 pounds of warm blankets, socks and gloves for residents and those they serve. This is the 2nd year in a row that we have donated to this beautiful organization.”
Karin Sokel delivers to Baltimore Outreach Services. Karin writes: “This is a shelter which is held in the basement of Christ Lutheran Church, providing services and programs to homeless women and their children. This was a powerful meeting, in that, I got to see and chat with some of the women and children who would be the recipients of our donations. And Yvette (pictured with me) was warm and energized, and you’ll note on one of the photos, that beautiful orb at her heart center. I could feel her love and gratitude….. “
Gertrud Lola delivered her goodies to Rosie’s place in Boston. Gertrud writes: “They are very protective of the people that they serve and their privacy. It was amazing to stand in the shelter and see all the faces: young, old, yellow, black, white, Hispanic, fat, thin…. Friends, mothers, daughters, sisters…. Some clearly guarding their earthly possessions…. Man, we are so lucky and so blessed…. Thank you to Dr Joe for organizing and thank you all for making it happen. Love you man!!! Gertrud”
