Creating Lasting Change

How can the preacher in the Deep South, in a moment of religious ecstasy, drink strychnine and have no biological effects? How can certain Indonesian children chew on glass and not bleed? Why do firewalkers not burn their feet on the hot coals when temperatures soar above 1000 degrees? How is it possible for an ordinary, middle aged mother to lift a 2000 pound car that has crashed and pull out her children who are pinned underneath? In all of the above cases, these people made a decision with clear purpose and firm intention. Their decision carried with it an amplitude and level of energy greater than their biology. Simply put, their choice to accomplish the feat caused their body to respond to a new mind. In that moment, these people were transcendent of the conditions of their environment, transcendent of the typical habits and emotional memories stored in their body, and they were transcendent of linear time. So, what does that mean for you? Most of us aren’t going to chew on glass or drink poison – and you don’t have to. Watch Wounda the chimpanzee hug Jane Goodall after being released into the Wild

After being brought back from the brink of death by the Jane Goodall Institute, Wounda the chimpanzee makes a simple gesture of thanks that will melt your heart. Everyone at Encephalon is a big fan of Jane Goodall, the famous animal conservationist, so it was an easy decision to share this wonderful video showing her and her crew releasing Wounda, a rehabilitated chimp, into the wilds of their Tchindzoulou Island refuge. The Jane Goodall Institute established the refuge on the island in the Kouilou River in the Republic of Congo as a safe haven for chimpanzee victims of bush meat [...]

Our Story In 2 Minutes

Here’s a fascinating video made by Joe Bush, a 19-year old film student as part of a project for his video productions class. Joe gathered hundreds of images from all over the internet and mashed them up to form a 2-minute video depicting the history of mankind starting from the formation of the universe, evolution of man to the present day scenario (mostly American) followed by glimpses of the (predicted) future of our planet. Dr. Masaru Emoto, the world renowned "water doctor" who became better known through the film “What the Bleep Do We Know?” died peacefully this AM with his beloved wife by his side. The friendly and jovial Dr. Emoto was a Tokyo scientist who had been visually documenting molecular changes in water by means of special photographic techniques. In so doing, he expanded our concept of Consciousness.
